Distribution of citizens who reside abroad traveling to Turkey 2021, by purpose

Over 60 percent of Turkish citizens residing abroad traveled to Turkey to visit their relatives or friends in 2021. Furthermore, sightseeing, entertainment, sports, and cultural activities ranked second on the list of travel purposes of Turkish expats visiting their home country.
