Lithium-Ion Battery Internal Temperature Dataset

This dataset contains lithium-ion battery cycling data of 12 distinct drive cycles under 5 different ambient temperatures, with both the cell surface temperature and internal temperature measured during the cycles. During the test, three brand-new LG INR 21700 M50LT lithium-ion battery cells with 4.93Ah nominal capacity under the same aging state were opened using a power drill and a 3mm drill in an argon-filled glove box , followed by the injection of a Type K sensor inside the cavity at the very center and fixed halfway through the cells inlay. An epoxy-based two-component glue was then used to seal the cell. Afterwards, the three cells were cycled with 12 drive cycles under 5 ambient temperatures. The surface temperature and the internal temperature were measured during the cycles.
