The Care and Work Survey, 2007, Sample Two

In this report one looks at the commitments and problems people meet every day outside work, and how these can working life behavior. The survey concentrates on family commitments which comes into existence late in working life, when the parents of the employer are elderly and needs help. The national survey of 2007 sheds light on the following questions: How common is it for employers in the age group 45-65 to be in a tight situation between work and care taking obligation for old parents? To what degree influences the care taking obligations the working life behavior? What kind of support do the public and the workplace give, and what kind of support are needed? 2000 Norwegian women and men, who had lost both their parents pr 1.1.2007, are asked in this survey.
