Phaistos Disc — Full Dossier: Object, Site, and Mapping Meteorology

Research archive by Hans Lee Simmons on the Phaistos Disc, the fired clay disc recovered by Luigi Pernier at Phaistos, Crete, on 3 July 1908 (Heraklion Archaeological Museum inventory as recorded in the dossier). Contents: (1) The full dossier — the object, its material and stamp manufacture, the Linear A tablet PH-1 found with it, the context-based dating range and the recorded absence of any direct scientific date, the authenticity record (majority position, with the 2008 forgery case on record), the sign inventory and counts (45:1 distinct signs; 242:1 occurrences, 241:1 identifiable; 61:1 groups, 31:1 on face A and 30:1 on face B), decipherment status (undeciphered without exception), the palace and site, and the seasonal round of Crete mapped item by item against the object — every item graded ATTESTED, CONTESTED, SPECULATIVE, or ABSENT, with any link from those seasonal cycles to this object graded ABSENT and the two-season premise graded ABSENT for Minoan Crete. (2) The seasonal-grid audit — a pre-registered (2026-10-15, before any test ran) exact-count audit of the author's two-season hypothesis: counted permutation nulls of 10000:1 trials per test per face, integer statistics only; the repeat-placement test and the half-face frequency-shift test both FAILED at the filed pass line (null exceedances at or below 100:10000 on both faces), the filed interpretation keys therefore interpret nothing, and the hypothesis stands neither raised nor retired by the run. The audit folder also carries the survival-quantifier counts (242:1 tokens in classes summing to 242:1 with residual 0:1), the place-taxonomy map, the fish-and-head and plant censuses, the disc's story told from its use, the event and inversion map, the palace blueprint supplement, the case closing with its open items named, the disc's route ledger (Kommos to Phaistos to Heraklion), the pinned Godart 1995 transcription data (SHA-256 a0a45be6da354f3591ee500fd91d6ae238fe71126dff543361cb78dc5261343e, the run's own pinned input hash), and the audit instrument itself (run_audit.py). The author's readings are labelled [H] throughout and are never promoted over the counts. Methods: verbatim staging, integer counting, denominators preserved, pre-registration before testing, and the two-layer evidence seal (SHA-256 courtroom chain + Delta-512 reversible fold) on the works of record.
