资源简介:
A series of light frame metal stud wall partitions are tested in the UB-NCS (Nonstructural Component Simulator) using dynamic and quasi-static test protocols. The wall partitions are installed parallel and perpendicular to the input motions in order to study both their in-plane and out-of-plane seismic responses. The partition wall specimens are approximately 12 ft long x 11.5 ft tall.
Typical construction details for commercial and institutional buildings are considered in the experimental program. The Practice Committee (Task 8.3.1) and the Advisory Board (Task 7.3.1.1) provided input into the proper selection of these typical details at the initial stages of the experimental program. Variables that are considered in the development of the fragility curves for partitions include: (i) Types of connections at the top of the walls; (ii) Wall geometries and corners; (iii) Presence of door openings and fire doors; (iv) Attachment of weights to the partition walls; (v) Interaction with ceilings; and (vi) Thickness and spacing of steel framing system.
