Insights into the emerging Vascular Streak Dieback disease of woody ornamentals in the United States using a metagenomic sequencing approach

This project investigates the emerging Vascular Streak Dieback (VSD) disease affecting woody ornamental plants in the United States. Using a metagenomic sequencing approach, we analyzed symptomatic plant and mycelium samples to identify the associated microbial communities and potential causal agents. These data provide insights into the pathogens and microbiome dynamics underlying VSD, supporting efforts to monitor, manage, and mitigate this important plant disease.
