Performance of different multi-objective optimization algorithms in radiation shielding design

We used four optimization algorithms applied to the design of two reactor shielding structures, namely simple three-dimensional shielding structure and complex shielding structure. Among them, CD-NSGA and CD-MOABC are traditional multi-objective optimization algorithms (2 or 3 optimization objectives), while RP-NSGA and RP-MOABC are many-objective optimization algorithms (4 and more optimization objectives). The numerical results show that the algorithms based on the RP strategy are more effective in the high-dimensional multi-objective optimization design of radiation shielding.
