Reproducibility Materials for the CHARLS Empty-Nest Operationalisation and Depressive-Symptom Classification Study

This record contains reproducibility materials for the manuscript “Operationalising Empty-Nest Status and Its Concurrent Classification Value for Depressive Symptoms among Rural Older Adults in China: A Cross-Sectional CHARLS Study.” Version 2.1.0 contains the byte-identical executed final-analysis script retained for provenance, a functionally matched portable derivative, figure-generation scripts, aggregate derived results, enriched multiple-imputation specifications and diagnostics, full exposure–outcome sample classification analyses, repeated cross-validation, alternative CES-D-10 thresholds, survey-design robustness checks, household-composition analyses, 2020 current-state, transition, incident, and retention analyses, the final supplementary workbook, figures, a README, and a SHA-256 manifest. Restricted CHARLS microdata and participant identifiers are not included. Registered users must obtain CHARLS data independently under the CHARLS project’s data-use terms; the reproducibility boundary and required restricted intermediate inputs are documented in the README. Version 2.1.0 supersedes version 2.0.0 and aligns the archived aggregate outputs with the final revised manuscript.
