Examining an Inverse Correlation in the rates of Assertiveness and Anxiety in 1st and 2nd year Medical Students

Medical school is a rigorous and sometimes anxiety-inducing experience. Some studies suggest up to one in three medical students may experience anxiety. As the field of medical education changes, educators must be in touch with ways to limit student anxiety and develop confident assertive physicians in order to optimize patient outcomes. This paper identifies an inverse correlation between medical students assertiveness on their anxiety level.
