The Living Conditions Survey in Groruddalen, 2008

This study was conducted by Statistics Norway on behalf of the City of Oslo. The reason for the survey is the new priority area in Oslo, this time Groruddalen (Bjerke, Stovner, Alna, Grorud). The survey was conducted as part of an evaluation of Groruddalssatsingen for the City of Oslo. The Groruddal initiative's main objective is a sustainable urban development, visible environmental upgrading and improving quality of life and living conditions for the residents.

The purpose of a questionnaire survey in Groruddalen was a desire for interview information from a sample of residents of in Groruddalen, which should be included in an overall start-up documentation of the original situation. IThe same survey is planned to be conducted as the basis of a planned mid-term evaluation of the initiative, and further as basis of a final evaluation.

Most of the questions in this study are taken from Statistics Norway's Living Conditions Survey in 2007 with the main theme: Living conditions, local environment and leisure. The theme of the Living Conditions Survey on housing conditions and the planned timeframe for the survey, correlated well with the wishes that were the basis for a survey as part of the evaluation of the Groruddal priority. This is why most of the questions are taken from Statistics Norway's survey on living conditions.
