The Bertelsmann Stiftung Transformation Index (BTI) dataset covers the period from 2006 to 2024, published by the Bertelsmann Stiftung as a global benchmark study that evaluates the transformation of political, economic, and governance in 137 countries. The dataset combines qualitative, expert-based assessments with standardized quantitative scoring to produce two composite indices: the Status Index (measuring political and economic transformation) and the Governance Index (measuring leadership performance).
