Human–Technology Interaction in E-Business: The Role of Digital Transformation and Social Media Engagement in Driving Human-Centered Innovation and Digital Well-Being

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has significantly transformed how individuals and organizations interact within e-business environments. Digital transformation and social media engagement play important roles in shaping user experiences, fostering innovation, and influencing digital well-being. However, the challenge lies in ensuring that technological developments remain aligned with human needs and well-being. This study aims to examine the influence of digital transformation and social media engagement on human-centered innovation and digital well-being, with human-centered innovation acting as a mediating variable. The study adopts a quantitative approach and utilizes Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) for data analysis. Data were collected through an online survey involving 204 Generation Z respondents. The results indicate that digital transformation and social media engagement have a significant positive effect on human-centered innovation. In addition, digital transformation and human-centered innovation significantly influence digital well-being. Human-centered innovation also plays a mediating role in strengthening the relationship between digital transformation and digital well-being. These findings suggest that organizations should prioritize human-centered approaches in digital innovation to enhance user experience and promote sustainable interaction between humans and technology.
