This paper devotes on the design of a new robust sliding mode control (SMC) controller for discrete-time T-S fuzzy Markovian Jump descriptor systems (MJDSs) based on a switching event-triggered mechanism (ETM). In order to reduce resource waste, a novel switching ETM is first proposed which can effectively reduce the triggered frequency. Based on modal switching, the fuzzy sliding mode surface is proposed with fully considering the effect of the difference matrix E on the controller design. Then, sufficient conditions are deduced to ensure that discrete-time T-S fuzzy MJDSs are stochastically admissible with H∞ performance. Furthermore, according to the reaching condition, a SMC law is constructed for fuzzy MJDSs based on strict linear matrix inequalities (LMIs).Finally, the efficiency of the proposed approach is illustrated by a simulations example.
