资源简介:

Brief description This repository contains the data and code to reproduce the analysis of Machado et al. in press at Behavioral Ecology. The repository includes the dataset and the R script used to assess how environmental conditions, prey availability, the number of dolphins and fishers, and the behavioural synchrony between both predators contribute to foraging success through confirmatory path analysis. These materials are organized and provided in the .zip file. Files and data structure The file ./code/dolphin_fisher_analysis.R contains the R script to fit the models and plot figures with the images and icons in ./figs. The data-processing is described in Machado et al. (in press), as all variables were summarised to the respective sampling hour. The file ./data/dolphin_fisher_data.csv contains the processed dataset with the following variables: Variable Description day Sampling date (YYYY-MM-DD) time_ymd_hour Date and hour identifying the 'sampling hour' hour.numeric Hour of the day (24-hour format) tide_vel Tidal current velocity (cm/h) wind_dir Wind direction (northern wind = 0.5 and southern wind = -0.5). tide_dir Tidal flow direction (flood = 0.5 and ebb = -0.5). wind_speed Wind speed (mph) water_temp Water temperature (°C) fish_time_integrated Integrated estimate of prey abundance per sampling time log1p.prey Prey abundance (log(x + 1)) log1p.dolphins Number of dolphins (log(x + 1)) log1p.fishers Number of fishers (log(x + 1)) log1p.SyncForaging Number of synchronous dolphin–fisher foraging events (log(x + 1)) SyncForaging Number of synchronous dolphin–fisher foraging events log1p.yield Number of fish caught by fishers during the sampling hour (log(x + 1)) yield Number of fish caught by fishers during the sampling hour
