Elicitins in redox signalling in Solanum

This dataset contains experimental data supporting a research article investigating the effects of elicitin structural variation on reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (ROS–RNS) signalling in susceptible Solanum lycopersicum and resistant Solanum habrochaites challenged with Pseudoidium neolycopersici. The data include pathogen development, S-nitrosothiol levels, antioxidant enzyme activities, NADPH oxidase activity, RBOHD expression and S-nitrosation, and GSNO-dependent regulation of NADPH oxidase. These findings provide insights into genotype-dependent redox regulation and the potential involvement of RBOHD S-nitrosation in plant defence responses.
