Charting oat (Avena Sativa) embryo and endosperm transcription factor expression pattern

Oat is a important crop, providing food and feed and recognized for its ß-glucans content. Uniquely, oat among cereals, accumulates an appreciable amount of oil in the endosperm together with starch. Despite of high interest in oat yield and quality, the genetic and molecular understanding of oat grain development is still very limited. Determining seed subdomain specificity at transcriptome level will be revealed the expression of potential importance for storage compound deposition as well as seed quality characters.
