Underwater video footage taken offshore Punta Blanca, Tenerife

As part of the Ocean Citizen project, underwater images were taken with a GoPro 7 Black to ground-truth the acoustically surveyed area. The camera was attached to a fishing line guided just above the bottom with a leader weight and took one picture per second. The information on depth (acoustically measured) and location (by the ship's navigation system) were subsequently inserted into the images using a temporal comparison.
