2023 NHERI Summer Institute for Early Career Faculty

The NHERI Network Coordination Office Education and Community Outreach, hosted the sixth annual NHERI Summer Institute for Early Career Faculty, June 21-23, 2023, at the University of Texas at San Antonio Downtown Campus.

The early career workshop serves to build a community of natural hazards researchers. During the Summer Institute, participants were introduced to the Natural Hazards Engineering Research Infrastructure (NHERI) community and its resources, met with an NSF Civil, Mechanical and Manufacturing Innovation Director, and explored the ideas for intellectual merit and broader impacts for NSF proposal writing using NHERI resources.Mentors from across the NHERI network shared critical information and resources to support early career faculty in pursuing NSF funding for projects conducted with NHERI resources.
