The Wrentit is a near endemic species to California found in scrub and chaparral from coastal Oregon to northern Baja California. This species is the only representative of the Old World family Sylviidae to occur in North America. Samples from this BioProject encompass the entire California distribution of this species.. These data have been produced as part of the CCGP. Sequencing was conducted with HiFi Pacific Biosciences long reads at UCDavis Genome Core, Dovetail's OmniC libraries, and Illumina sequencing at UCBerkeley QB3 Genomics Core.
