The Argentine Congress and the European Union deforestation regime, 2008-2025: annotated corpus and replication materials

Full-text control (C4): retrieval and screening of the relevant corpus against full texts. control_textos.py retrieves the full text of the 609 relevant items through two public routes: the Chamber's full-text project pages and the PDF record of the Trámite Parlamentario. Coverage is 552 of 609 (90.6 per cent; forest domain 145 of 152, with one item covered through its declared 2017 antecedent). A two-tier dictionary screen, including a co-occurrence pattern of European referents with deforestation, is applied to every retrieved text. Result: no item coded to the domestic frame engages the regulation in its body; the three regime items cite Regulation 2023/1115 in full text; no additional regime item appears anywhere in the retrieved corpus. Reported as S17 of the supplementary material. New outputs analysis/textos_cobertura.csv, analysis/textos_screen.csv and analysis/textos_contextos.txt. The 57 items without retrievable text are enumerated with their filing years; 55 predate the November 2021 proposal of the regulation. README updated: the titles-only limitation is now stated together with the full-text check that bounds it. The script requires PyMuPDF; retrieved texts are cached locally and are not redistributed here.
