A press photograph of Mary E. Foy, 1920. Foy, the first female head librarian of Los Angeles in 1880, is depicted in her sixties wearing a lace and tulle dress with a flower brooch. Foy was honored by the democratic national committee in her work fighting for suffrage for women in California. The photographer is stated as Elinore Groves at Hotel Maryland in Pasadena. The photograph is in good condition with minor silvering.
