VPRS 16917 Index to In-Patients, Royal Children's Hospital Orthopaedic Section, Frankston

This series comprises of an alphabetical index to the in-patients of the Royal Children's Hospital's Orthopaedic Section at Frankston. There are no dates within the index, however written on the cover is the date range 3/3/30 - 15/11/64, which correlates to the record number range of 1 - 5299 as listed in the index. Note that this index lists the record numbers of the patients rather than the serial numbers. Therefore it probably was not used as an index to the admission and discharge registers (VPRS 16918) which are listed according to serial number, but was instead a controlling record for the patient records.Prior to transfer to Public Record Office Victoria, the records in this series were maintained as part of the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Archives. They were part of RCH accession number 1996/002.
