Dataset of Knowledge Retention and Learning Satisfaction in Patient-Nurses Safety

This dataset originates from a quasi-experimental study investigating the impact of a structured patient-nurse safety lecture as an intervention. The study compares two delivery methods: physical in-person lectures (control group) and structured pre-recorded lectures. The outcomes assessed were knowledge retention and student satisfaction scores, measured at four-time points: baseline, immediately after the lecture, at a 1-week interval, and at a 2-week interval. Data were collected online using a structured questionnaire from 110 undergraduate nursing students at a public university on the West Coast of Sabah, Malaysia, between April and December 2024. The dataset includes responses to the 10-item Patient-Nurse Safety Knowledge (10-PNS) questionnaire and the 18-item Student Satisfaction with teaching methods questionnaire. Both instruments were administered in English and designed for online use.
