This is supplementary material accompanying the article: Karimipour, H., Witzel, C., (2024) Colour Expectations Across Illumination Changes, Vision Research. "reanalysis_Witzel2016" contains 7 worksheets including the collected data in Witzel 2016(1st worksheet), metameric illuminants (Blue and yellow) (2nd worksheet), Munsell reflectances used in Witzel 2016 (3rd worksheet), RGB reflectances that are metameric to the Munsell ones under naturalistic yellow (4th worksheet) and blue illuminants (5th worksheet) used in Witzel 2016, Naturalistic reflectances that are metameric to the Munsell ones under naturalistic yellow (6th worksheet) and blue illuminants (7th worksheet) used in Witzel 2016. "DATAperBLOCK- Colour Expectations across Illumination Changes" contains 3 worksheets, each of which corresponds to a block across the Experiments, identified by the first column in each sheet. "Test_image" column with 1,2,3 and 4 representing the naturalistic, protonopia, 2_Narrowband and monochromatic version of the naturalistic target in the first block, and naturalistic, RGB, Fundamental and 3_Gaussian illuminants in the 2nd and 3rd blocks. "Confidence" column indicates the submitted rating regarding how confident observers felt about their choices in the "pp_responses" column. "(Colour) shift" indicates the average colour difference between each Test_image and the reference in CIELAB, "Global CER" shows the average cone excitation ratios for each Test_image . "Local CER" refers to the presence of the illumination colour in Experiment 2b and manipulated single objet/area in Experiment 3. The value is 1 for these experiments and 0 for Experiments 1-2a. Golz indicates the Golz scores obtained from the following formula: (1.1305*overall_avg_log_redness)+(0.0063*overall_corr_RL)+0.0202. "Hue" and "Saturation" show the average hue and saturation difference between the naturalistic target and each correponding artificial (distractor) rendering , OOG shows the proportion of out of gamut values for each corresponding Test_image. Columns O to S represent the direction of the illumination colour changes between the reference and the comparison images. "CCT" indicates the difference in correlated colour temperature between the illumination colours in the reference image and each of those in the corresponding Test_image . "Scene_Nature" indicates whether a scene is a natural scene/fruits(1).
