Leucaena leucocephala leaves and roots transcriptome

Leucaena leucocephala (Leucaena) is a multiple purpose tree legume that is widely grown in the tropics and subtropics due to its strong environmental suitability to adverse abiotic stress condition especially drought. However, the molecular mechanism and key pathways for drought tolerance in Leucaena have not been stated clearly. In this study, we comparatively analyzed the physiological and early transcriptional responses of Leucaena leaves and roots under dehydration stress simulated by polyethylene glycol (PEG) treatments.
