GNPS-Impact of benznidazole treatment on the cardiac metabolome of Swiss Webster mice infected with Trypanosoma cruzi

This dataset contains heart tissue samples from mice with chronic Chagas disease, 4 weeks following treatment with benznidazole or from controls. Metabolites were extracted with 50% methanol for aqueous phase extraction followed by 3:1 dichloromethane: methanol (3:1 v/v) for organic extraction. After drying down, samples were resuspended with 50% methanol and aqueous and organic phases combined. Measurements were performed on Q Exactive Plus Hybrid Quadrupole-Orbitrap Mass Spectrometer coupled to a Thermo Scientific Vanquish UHPLC with Kinetex C8 column.
