De novo assembly for the Mediterranean copepod Acartia clausi used as reference transcriptome and gene expression analysis

A de novo transcriptome was generated from Acartia clausi females collected in the Mediterranean Sea which has been used for differential expression (DE) analysis between females exposed for four days to elutriates of sediments collected in the industrial area of Bagnoli-Coroglio (Mediterranean Sea), that contained high concentration of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and heavy metals (Hg), and females exposed to control filtered seawater. Total RNA has been extracted from pooled individuals (n=10). Trinity assembly was generated from two libraries (one replicate of the control, Control1_YC1, one replicate of treatment E56, Test1_YC4).
