Strain BJGMM-B45T was isolated by Biotechnology Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Strain BJGMM-B45T was isolated from a saline-alkali soil sample collected from Yellow River (Huanghe) Delta National Reserve Area (37°35´~38°12´ N, 118°33´~119°20´ E) in Dongying City, Shandong Province, China. On the basis of phenotypic, chemotaxonomic and phylogenetic features, strain BJGMM-B45T is considered to represent a novel species of the genus Halomonas, for which the name Halomonas huanghegensis sp. nov. is proposed, with strain BJGMM-B45T (ACCC 05850T =KCTC 32409T) as the type strain.The type strain was stored in Agricultural Culture Collection of China (ACCC), Institute of Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and also stored in Korean Collection for Type Cultures (KCTC), Biological Resource Center Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB).
