Anthromes 12K DGG shapefile (version 1.0) Data product from: Ellis et al. (2021). "People have shaped most of terrestrial nature for at least 12,000 years". Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences doi: 10.1073/pnas.2023483118. This zip file contains the Anthromes 12K DGG v1 map data (baseline estimate) in shapefile format using the discrete global grid polygons. The shapefile can be used to produce anthromes maps and in analyses using GIS. Please refer to the associated R analysis code and research compendium at doi:10.7910/DVN/6FWPZ9 for the associated anthrome class names and example code for working with these data in R.
