Restriction-site associated DNA sequencing of the Ryujin-Jidori and Rhode Island Red breeds and their F1 and F2 chickens. Gallus gallus

Three male Ryujin-Jidori and four female Rhode Island Red chickens were crossed to obtain four male and 26 female F1 chickens. These F1 chickens were crossed to obtain 267 F2 chickens. Genomic DNAs were extracted from the blood cells of all individuals, and they were subjected to restriction-site associated DNA sequencing using two restriction enzymes, EcoRI and MspI, to create a high-density SNP linkage map of the F2 population.
