BRoverbs is a benchmark dataset designed to evaluate the ability of Large Language Models (LLMs) to understand Brazilian Portuguese proverbs. The dataset includes 193 Brazilian Portuguese proverbs and 579 short stories, with three stories for each proverb. These stories are used to help the model understand the meaning of the proverbs. The dataset consists of two tasks: Proverb to Story (PtS) selection and Story to Proverb (StP) selection, both in the format of multiple-choice questions.
