The is the data set for the paper [Bjørk, R., The nonlinear influence of load resistance in an electromagnetic vibrational energy harvester, Journal of Vibration Engineering & Technologies, 14, 4, 2026]. The DOI for the publication is 10.1007/s42417-025-02250-5 .These data are located on the repository at data.dtu.dk, with DOI:10.11583/DTU.23675343 and URL: https://doi.org/10.11583/DTU.23675343 .The data files are organized according to the experiments as follows:First of all the experiments are grouped into two folders that indicate if coils with 200 turns of 2500 turns were used in the experiments.Within each of these folders, the folder structure indicate the resistance used in the experiments. The folder "Matched resistance frequency response" indicate that the load resistance was equal to the matched resistance, while "Open circuit frequency response" indicate that the experiments were done at open circuit. The experiments with coils with 2500 turns include additional folders described below.For the "Matched resistance frequency response" and "Open circuit frequency response" experiments, a frequency sweep was performed. For each frequency sweep experiment, each datafile is named as: SWEEP_ITERATION_Variables. Here 'SWEEP' can be "LH" (ascending sweep) or "HL" (descending sweep). The iteration can be 1,2 or 3 as each experiment was repeated 3 times.In such a datafile there are the following variables:f_axis: The driving frequency axis (1D array)V_RMS: The RMS voltage for each frequency (1D array)P_RMS: The RMS power for each frequency (1D array)t_axis: The time axis for the voltage waveform, from which the RMS is calculated.(1D array)Waveform: The voltage waveforms as a function of time. (2D array). This has the form Waveform(V,f) where V is the voltage array and f is the driving frequency this corresponds to. Here 'f' is here an index that corresponds to a driving frequency in correspondence with 'f_axis'. For example index 'f'=1 is the first data point and the corresponding driving frequency can be found by f_axis(1).The Resistance Sweep experiments are contained in the folder "Resistance sweep" and have the filename RSweep_SWEEP_ITERATION_RESISTANCE. Here SWEEP and ITERATION is as above, and Resistance is 'R' followed by the resistance value. For example "RSWEEP_LH_1_R9715" refers to the ascending sweep, first iteration with a load resistance of 9715 Ohm.The data stored is simply the time in seconds and voltage in volts.The Resistance jump experiments are contained in the folder "Resistance jumps" and have the name RJUMP_ITERATION_RX where ITERATION is as before and RX is the data point where X=1/2/3.The data stored is simply the time in seconds and voltage in volts.
