Digital Archive from an Archaeological Excavation and Recording at Taunton Castle, Taunton, Somerset, November to December 2020

This collection consists of site images, records and a report from an archaeological excavation and recording at Taunton Castle, Taunton, Somerset. The works were carried out by South West Heritage Trust between November and December 2020 as part the repair of the eastern wall of Taunton Castle and to restore the gardens. Three small trenches were excavated and recorded to assess the age and condition of the walls. The work disturbed very little significant archaeology, and in consequence have added little to knowledge of the castle.
