资源简介:

Abstract This companion essay examines how institutional harm operates not through isolated incidents, but through patterned repetition disguised as neutrality. Drawing on lived experience, systems analysis, and documented administrative practices, the essay argues that harm persists not because individuals fail to comply, but because systems are engineered to absorb compliance while deflecting accountability. It reframes documentation—not emotional appeal—as a form of self-defense, and precision—not radicalism—as the turning point in confronting bureaucratic violence. The essay further explores the physiological toll of sustained institutional pressure, the role of joy as nervous-system recovery rather than denial, and the distinction between performative apology and structural repair. Ultimately, it asserts that once truth is accurately recorded, it no longer requires permission to exist—or to compel change.
