Metagenomics of Secovlje salt pans (Slovenia)

This study used shotgun metagenomics to assess microorganism biodiversity in the Secovlje salt pans in Slovenia under high- and low-salt conditions. The analysis shows that Secovlje salt pans are home to many microalgae and cyanobacteria of biotechnological importance and potential.
