资源简介:
Human Parechovirus (HPeV) is the second most common pathogen, after enteroviruses, causing viral sepsis and meningitis in the neonatal and infancy periods . Specifically, HPeV3 is known to present with fever, rash, and severe irritability in neonates and infants, often requiring intensive care due to sepsis-like symptoms . HPeV5, on the other hand, was previously reported as a cause of gastroenteritis and acute diarrhea , but recently, case reports of sepsis-like syndrome and central nervous system infections have been increasingly observed overseas . We report a case of a neonate who presented with sepsis-like symptoms caused by HPeV5, for which we performed whole-genome sequencing.
