Allele-specific regulatory effects on the pig transcriptome

Gene expression variations contribute to phenotypic differences between or within species via cis- or trans-regulatory effects. Recent studies have characterized the regulatory effects on gene expression in a wide range of species. Nonetheless, no such studies were performed to depict the differences of expression regulatory patterns between breeds in pigs. Here, we provided a comprehensive regulatory map of gene expression in pigs.
