Potatoes were treated with 1,4-dimethylnaphthalene (DMN) at two stages of dormancy, endo- and ecodormancy, and transcriptomic response was assessed at two time points within each dormancy stage, immediately after treatment and two weeks after treatment. The goal of this study was to identify the mechanisms by which DMN suppresses sprout growth in potato through identification of immediate and delayed response to exposure.
