资源简介:
This cross-sectional study was conducted between March and June 2022 at a National Cancer Institute (NCI)–designated comprehensive cancer center in Southern California. Patients who had visited the cancer center over 24 months between January 2018 and December 2019 and who had a valid email address in their medical record received an electronic invitation in English and Spanish to participate in a cancer patient assessment. The online survey (Qualtrics; Seattle, WA) collected self-reported sociodemographic information, health/cancer history, perceived benefits and risks of cannabis use, and patterns of cannabis use. Those who completed the assessment were offered a $10 Amazon gift card as an incentive. Although identifying information was not collected, IP addresses were recorded to ensure that each invitation was associated with only 1 submission. Emailed study invitations and up to 2 reminder emails were successfully sent to 5901 patients at various stages of cancer treatment, including after treatment; 954 (16.2%) patients provided responses. The final study sample was weighted to the cancer center patient population by ICF (Reston, VA) under a contract with NCI. The study sample of 542 respondents represented a weighted target population of 3785.
