Interest in college football playoff expansion in the U.S. 2023

Ahead of the 2024 college football season, the playoff rounds were expanded from the existing four-team playoff to a 12-team playoff format. During an October 2023 survey among college football fans in the United States, 40 percent of respondents stated that they were very interesting in watching the expanded college football playoff starting in 2024.
