This dataset contains a Dutch-language taxonomy of scientific terminology used in climate change discourse on Twitter. It was developed as part of a broader project on religion, science, and climate communication in the Netherlands. Terms are grouped into several categories, such as: Scientific discourse (e.g., wetenschap, klimaatwetenschap, peer-reviewed), Scientific findings (e.g., CO2-concentraties, zeespiegelstijging), Institutions and figures (e.g., universiteiten, IPCC), Challenges to science (e.g., pseudowetenschap, klimaatontkenning). The taxonomy was applied to a dataset of Dutch-language tweets (2023) to filter and analyze discourse explicitly linking climate change to scientific knowledge, authority, or skepticism. Language of data: DutchFile format: Excel (.xlsx) This taxonomy is intended to support researchers in digital humanities, sociology of religion, communication studies, and environmental discourse analysis.
