Chronic oral administration of nicotine affects transcriptomic profiling in conditional Presenilin 1/2 knockout mice and wild type mice
we found that chronic oral (3 months) administration of nicotine had different effects on transcriptomic profiling in prefrontal forebrain cortex of wildtype (WT) and Presenilin 1/2 double knockout mice. 8-month-old Presenilin 1/2 double knockout mice (DKO) and the wildtype mice (WT) were exposed to nicotine by drinking water at the dose of 100 ug/ml (DKO-N and WT-N, respectively) or water (DKO-B and WT-B, respectively) ad libitum for 3 months, after the behavior tests, the prefrontal forebrain cortex of the four groups of mice were collected for RNA-seq.
