A prospective observational cohort study of multi-drug resistant organisms (MDRO) in patients admitted to ICUs in Hanoi, Vietnam. All patients admitted to the ICUs at the national Hospital for tropical Diseases and Bach Mai Hospital during a 6-month study period will be screened for MDRO. Clinical data and specimens will be collected from patients on admission to ICU, on discharge from ICU, and weekly from patients whose duration of admission is 7 days or more. Environmental samples were also collected prior to and at monthly intervals during the study. This data is part of a pre-publication release.
