We analyzed transcript abundance in interscapular brown and inguinal white adipose tissue of wildtype and UCP1-KO mice either adpated to 20°C or 30°C and fed a high fat or control diet. Overall design: Male C57BL/6J mice of wildtype or Ucp1-KO genotype were fed a high fat diet (48% energy from fat) or control diet (13% energy from fat) at thermoneutrality (30°C). Control diet was also fed at 20°C, resulting in a total of 6 groups of 8 animals each. After 4 weeks, we prepared interscapular brown adipose tissue and inguinal white adipose tissue, resulting in 96 samples. Of these, we sequenced total RNA and determined transcript abundance.
