资源简介:
Data and code for manuscript: 'Floral thermal biology in relation to pollen thermal performance in an early spring flowering plant' by T.N. Sherer, J.M. Heiling, and M.H. Koski.
Data include temperature data from thermocouple probes placed inside of flowers of Hexastylis arifolia and temperature probes outside of flowers and floral morphological from natural populations in the field, temperature data inside and outside of flowers of potted plants kept in a laboratory, and pollen germinability data from Hexastylis arifolia pollen germinated in vitro under various temperature treatments.
Below are data file titles and a brief description of the data within each file. Each file has a 'metadata' tab describing the column headers.
final_field_temperature_data_all.xls: one-minute temperature data from inside and outside of flowers collected in the field.
temp.by.time.bin.xlsx: a dataset used to analyze whether internal floral temperature differed from external floral temperature across a 24hr time period in the field.
final_t2_trait_analysis.xlsx: the dataset used to asssess how morphological variation impacted floral thermoregulatory capacity in the field.
thermogenesis_all_aligned.xlsx: temperature data evaluated to test for signatures of floral thermogenesis.
hex_tpc_2023_final.xls: pollen viabiliy from pollen samples that experienced one of seven temperature regimes.
Two R code files are uploaded and described below:
field-data_analyses.R: code associated with analyzing thermoregulatory capacity of flowers in the field and assocaiting it with floral trait variation.
Final_TPC_Code.R: code associated with generating thermal performance curves for pollen using 4 different distributions.
