Percentage change in contribution to GDP in Libya 2021-2025, by sector

Industry is the main economic sector in Libya. According to a forecast, the contribution of the industrial sector to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the country would grow by over 115 percent in 2021 compared to the previous year. The value added would increase also in 2024 and 2025. Among Libya's economic sectors, only services was forecast to decline in 2021, registering an annual percentage change of minus eight percent. The GDP contribution of agriculture, the country's weaker sector, would record a growth of three percent in both 2024 and 2025.
