Red Mesa Black-on-white, ladle (fragmentary), Accession AZRU-00008, Catalog #2079, Morris FS 4602. Analyzed by Lori Reed 2006. Silty paste and sparse sand temper suggests the ladle was manufactured in the Middle San Juan region or possibly Aztec. Ladle is 75% complete with half of the handle and part of the rim missing. Measurements: 9cm maximum orifice diameter, 6.5 cm height. Image AZRU8-2079 A: view of ladle showing dipper wear on bowl and painted design.
