资源简介:
Osteoclasts are the primary cells responsible for bone resorption, and their dysregulation is implicated in osteoporosis and other skeletal disorders. This study aims to investigate the transcriptomic alterations induced by avasimibe, an inhibitor of acetyl-CoA acetyltransferase, during osteoclast differentiation. Bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMMs) were stimulated with RANKL to drive their differentiation into mature osteoclasts and were treated with or without avasimibe. Genome-wide gene expression profiles were compared between the treatment and control groups using RNA sequencing. The outcomes of this research are expected to elucidate the molecular mechanisms by which avasimibe regulates osteoclastogenesis, thereby potentially identifying novel therapeutic targets for bone-loss conditions such as osteoporosis.
