Lobbying as a Non-Market Behavior: Evidence of Political Insurance at the Aggregate and Industry Sector Levels

Data on hedge funds (investments and rates of return) as well as lobbying (spending, clients, and lobbyists). For both hedge funds and lobbying, we present aggregate data for 1998-2018. We also present sector-specific data for these years on lobbyist, lobby employers, and lobby spending.
