Elemental Compositions (LA-ICP-MS) of Glass Beads from L'Ancienne-Lorette (CeEu-11), Quebec

This file contains compositional analysis information obtained for 78 glass trade beads (mainly simple, drawn varieties of blue and white beads) excavated from Huron-Wendat contexts at the Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Mission Site (CeEu-11), Quebec. The artifacts were analyzed using Laser Ablation - Inductively Coupled Plasma - Mass Spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) conducted at the Elemental Analysis Facility of the Field Museum, Chicago. This minimally-invasive analysis, conducted with permission from the Huron-Wendat Nation of Quebec, provides information about glass bead recipes that can be compared to other known samples from across eastern North America. Artifact descriptions are presented in French, along with English analysis notes and typological and colour classifications and the compositional results in wt% of oxides or parts per million (ppm). These data are the property of the Huron-Wendat Nation of Quebec, and permission must be obtained from the Director of the Musée huron-wendat to access this data file. The analyzed artifacts are curated at the Musée huron-wendat.
